Thanks for reading my blog. If you’ve come this far – you ‘re curious about who puts this stuff out. Who is Nickismama?
My name is Sue Danbom – and I live in Sammamish, WA – a suburb of Seattle. I’m a mature wife, mother, grandmother and employee. I work for a Fortune 1000 company in a training and development role. My greatest joy is writing. I have blogged for six years within the company – and built the readership from 50 – 500. I am my company’s corporate voice in an industry blog. (ERE: Quest for the Best) Both experiences have been beneficial – but restricting. This is my first, unfettered effort.
I love to write. I have to write. It started early. Reading themes in grade school – my peers would call for me to go first. Teachers encouraged me to “never stop writing.” In my professional life, I finally found a place that I could “sneak in” my writing – and have benefited ever since. My readers get a dose of training with some fun and a large dose of me. Social networking and blogging have been my release. Now that I’m breaking through corporate restrictions, all I need is readers. That’s where you come in.
Nickismama? Where did the name come from? I once had a “canine daughter” named Nicki. (I take pet ownership very seriously.) She was a lovely flat-coated retriever. Although she’s been gone for ten years and succeeded by two other flat-coats, I used her name in my personal e-mail all these years and it sticks today. You can contact me at nickismama@yahoo.com
